Destination Weddings in Gijón, Spain

Gijón began as a fishing settlement nearly 3,000 years ago and is a favourite Asturian destination for Spaniard today. Getting married in Spain you too can discover the delights of this busy and eclectic city.

Take a walk arm in arm with your fiancée the breadth of the city along the promenade that lines San Lorenzo beach. Or scale the hill to Cerro de Santa Catalina, a park on the tip of the peninsula that provides a breathtaking view of the glittering Cantabrian Sea. Full of romantic corners and enlivened by visitors and students from the university it sits on a narrow peninsula that divides the city. The local Museo de la Gaita (Bagpipe museum) is testament to the Celtic roots of Asturian society.
