Destination Weddings in Cádiz

Cádiz is said to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in Western Europe. Through its long life its fortunes have risen and fallen several times. An important trading centre first established by the Phonecians in 1100 BC it’s also where Julius Cesar first held public office. Through the middle ages the city declined until Columbus conveniently discovered America and it became a centre of world trade.

Inside it harbours a collection of jewels that are glittering testament to the city’s wealthy past.  And don’t miss the exquisite 18th century model of the city carved in ivory and mahogany kept at the municipal museum.

At the end of a day visiting the sights or relaxing on one of the many beaches in and around Cádiz newlyweds can repair to the old fishing quarter and feast on delicious Andalusian cuisine.
